Photographer's Note
The day I visited the Swayambhunath temple, on the western outskirts of Kathmandu, it was drizzly and overcast, but at the bottom of the eastern stairway there was a small market which looked so colourful despite the dull weather. I wandered around in the mud for a while, snapping photographs, and nobody seemed to be bothered by my presence, despite being the only foreigner there. Perhaps that is because they are so used to tourists – Swayambhunath being the temple with the famous Buddha eyes, and one of the ‘must see’ sights of Nepal – that the locals just ignore the camera totting visitors and get on with the important business of buying their provisions.

I love the diversity and richness of the colours. I can imagine it's not easy to determine the ideal compositionand choose a POV, as so much is going on, but you did remarkably well. Thanks for sharing!
All the best,
Gerd

A nice colorful image, David, a very typical scene, but with the people placed very well so that no on blocks anyone else among the main subjects. You make it look easy, but we know that's tough to do! Great work.
Hmmm, I wonder about those spices sitting out in the rain.

Great color, David. Love the wonderful setting in this photo. It was complex view, yet your photo captures the essence well.

Hi David.
This is an impressive picture. Very well captured.
A daily life photo with excellents colours and sharpness.
Called my attention that from more than 30 people in the photo only two are watching the camera.I think this is very important, I don't know how you did it.
Congratulation, this is a number one photo.
Well done.

Interesting capture. The activity of the people, colorful of the clothes and the diversity of products for sale, give a special enchantment him to the image.

Hi David - a fine busy but colourful composition, the bright colours compensate for the overcast sky, there is a lot of interest here, excellent work.

Good 'street' image. Lots of colour, lots of activity, very intersting shot. In amongst the 'traditional' looking locals there is a guy (top left of the photo) who is dressed all in denims - I just think it's amusing as he looks more like a roadie for a rock group, and there he is looking in on whatever is going on!
A diverse & interesting shot, well done!

Hola David, it is a real pleasure to see images as this one of the daily life in the Nepal, in which the peoples are related of a natural and spontaneous form. The colors and the framing of the small market are charming, congratulations.
Un saludo amigo.
