Photographer's Note
Lhotse Falls. This cascade carries snowmelt from the tallest rock wall in the world, the SouthWest face of Lhotse. One second exposure with a 3 stop soft graduated neutral density filter to even exposure between water and sky (no color alteration).

This is absolutely fantastic. I cower in shame that my entry almost next to yours has generated so much more interest. That is TE politics unfortunately. I just visited the rest of your gallery, and oh my, I'm glad you joined TE, yours is one of the best absolutely. I wish I could give 100 points for this, and the rest of your gallery.

Michael,
Beautiful! While most would focus on just the sun on the mountain peaks, you added a lot by capturing the stream and a cotton-like texture.

Hello, Michael--
Great work here, you found a good rock to provide a strong foreground, and the common angles of the rock, flow of the water, and mountainside work together to give a well-harmonized composition. You used the grad filter to good effect here--it keeps a very natural, unaltered feel to it, and the touch of alpenglow on the mountaintops sets this apart from so many other long exposure stream pictures (like the ones that i've been known to take too many of).
Thanks!

Hi Michael,
This is an wonderful image, which technically, cannot be faulted. The orange, sunlit mountain peak dominates the photo mainly due to the major colour contrast, but also due to it's natural beauty and clarity. It is well balanced though, by the perfectly captured river, which itself contrasts with the ruggedness of the surrounding rocks and landscape. Excellent, well done.
Cheers Grant

Everything about this photo is fantastic. The vertical composition accentuates the height and distance, the flowing water is captured beautifully by the long exposure, and that vivid orange mountain peak sets off the whole shot.
Crystal clear throughout - you must be happy with this one!

Hi Michael,
This landscape just "flows" so well from top to bottom with a combination of rock, water and snow. Put together with the fantastic clarity, and lighting control with the ND.

Hi Michael,
Beautiful dynamic picture. The mountaintops look like glowing charcoal. There's a good contrast of different textures. I like the color of the sky.

Hello Michael, it is pleasure to follow your work as you keep coming up with these amazing landscapes. This is wonderful shot and reminds me of place in Pyrenees where I've experienced similar light. Unfortunately I didn't work with filters then, so didn't get result any close to this amazing shot. Well done and keep sharing. Lucie

Amazing light, withh the wall getting red in the sunset light.
The blurred water adds something extra to the picture.
