A beautiful view of Shandoor lake at Shandoor Valley. Shandoor Polo Ground situated in the city is the highest polo ground in the world, which is nearly 3700 meters above the sea level. Two districts Gilgit and Chitral have always been fighting over the terrestrial rights of the ground and the elders have made a decision that this ground belongs to both of them. those two arch rivals play a polo match every year to show their glory. Its one of the most difficult terrains of the world and the climate is very difficult as its freezing cold in the night and scintillating hot in the afternoon.
