Photographer's Note
Still in Punta Fuego, Batangas, I chanced upon this thought-provoking scene. The sky was beautiful and the ocean was so serene but where are the people? Punta Fuego is a very expensive resort thus, only a few people go there. In a nearby resort (a cheaper one, I suppose), the opposite was true. My two previous posts (Watermelon Smile... and The Man and the Sea) were from the latter. This speaks a lot about the economic situation in the Philippines right now. Empty chairs, empty...

Interesting story to go with this very idyllic image (I was also wondering why there weren't any people). Composition again is very pleasant, and colors are bold - I also like the green/white towels on the chairs. Some nice small background elements, such as the boat and the hills. Well done, Manny.

Ils ne vont pas rester longtemps vides ces fauteuils. Je vais m'y installer et regarder l'horizon et ces nuages qui moutonnent !
Photo originale, Manuel !
They are not going to remain for a long time empty these armchairs. I am there going to settle down and to look at the horizon and at these clouds which become cloudy !
Original photo Manuel!

I guess the owners are in the water, Manuel, the towels are waiting for them I like this composition because of the excellnt position of the chairs, and those two interesting towells.

Two chairs makes a wonderful composition. The colours of the sea and the sky with clouds are amazing... and green towels on the chairs, perfect. Very good shot Manny.

A real inviting paradise for two. Excellent composition.
But could you please tell what happened to the horizon? I would understand upward curve - the Earth IS round as we know :). But downward?! Intrigued.

Great composition and nice colors. The only thing that I don't really "feel well" here, is the little white blurred inside frame... but it's a detail of not so much importance. Great shot Manuel!

Magnificent composition, very close to a painting! I like how the sky in the middle is clear of clouds, like a path - it gives more space and doesn't make it "heavy" over the sea shore.

A wonderful pic, Manny ! The green and white towels really capture the look among all this blue.

I think the curved horizon comes from pincushion distortion on Manuel's Coolpix. Wonderful shot, tranquil but...lonely.

I really enjoy radical composition like this, though these chairs may be a little close to the edge even for me. Lovely colors and tones, as always, and a very lovely image!

Great shot. Amazing colours; I especially like the green striped towels. The sky is beautiful. Well seen.

It's not only in Philippines that are empty chairs nowadays... Things around here are pretty bad these days also...
Well, you follow the rules strictly here! The horizon on the lower third, the chairs correcly positioned... And guess what? It works! :-)
Besides that, nice colors and a great sky.

Intersting notes Manuel to this fine composition with the large open sky as a contrast to the empty beach.

Really nice and restfull composition. Colours are nice and the sky is intresting. The two cahirs is what makes this pic you ther position is prefect. Inviting but still lets you look at the beautifull sea.
Adrians WS was really good.

The sky and the sea colours are not to my liking. Maybe too much PS but the composition and angle is very nice!

wow wow wow! nice pic manny.i heard its indeed expensive to go there, so the have-nots like me just go somewhere else where it's cheap. i think there should be more of the sand tho. or probly less of the chairs.

Have you heard of this song;"Boys Of Summer" Manny.
Nobody on the road
Nobody on the beach
I feel it in the air
The summer's out of reach
Empty lake, empty streets
The sun goes down alone...
Like you said, it is thought provoking scene. Its your fault getting me started on the lyrics...:) Great provocation scene Manny.

I like this style of photography, although I would of left a bit more sand under the chairs and on my monitor it has a slight magenta cast
