Photographer's Note

AWIT is a tagalog word which means "song". In the context of this picture, Awit is the name of this cute and adorable kid...Lorelie's brother and Dagat's son. This is what I meant when I said that their family expanded.

Anyway, Awit is 1 year and a half old but he can entertain you with many antics. My TL post today showed him in a "karate kid" pose . He laughed after every click of my camera and he ran to me to see himself in the LCD. Then he posed again.

Awit has the golden brown skin... Boracay's trademark and stamp to all of her inhabitants. I hope the song of his laughter touches a chord in your heart.

I wanted to log out for a while... But just on time I saw the thumbnail and I was stunned! Just as all the other times you made my heart smelt...

I can't say one word of critique, I just look and enjoy his pretty twinkeling eyes and his wonderful smile!

It is a nice, literally "in-the-face" portrait of the little one, with beautiful color tones. What intrigues me equally, maybe even more than Awit's presence in this one though is the friendly and gently smiling kid in the background.

Aaaaah, what a portrait, Manuel!
Fantastic colours and closeness you show us here, a kind of special bond between you and the kid.
The other thing I find interesting here is your camera focusing effect with the DOF slightly & gradually changing from his face onto his sister.

funny and real...that's something too rare in TE...landscape are great, but sometimes we miss these smiles...the 50mm f1.8 is fantastic there.

Wow Manny, such a boy full of joy! From what you descriobe and the picture on TL, he's really an entrpreneur, really a cute kid. They sure have a very golden brown skin.
Very nice, the kid in the back as well, even necessary in the shot, I think. THAT kid is looking at you, I guess it's Lorelie?

Beautiful portrait, Manny! His skin color and texture are really striking! And his smile is so warm! I can picture their family as one happy family; Lorelie's smile at background indicates she's proud of her little brother. Very good work! rgds.

Personally I would have maybe used a bit more DOF ... but very nice warm tones you have here
