Waterfall Experience, a photo from Cebu, Central Visayas

Photographer's Note

I took this photo at Kawasan Waterfalls situated 115 km south-west of Cebu City. It is a three tiered cascade of crystal clear clean mountain springs.
This scene was captured in the main waterfall where you can enjoy a cool swim and go underneath the falls on a bamboo raft just like this photo ... an invigorating and refreshing experience. My previous posting titled 'Nature Fresh' shows the full waterfall dimension.

What a fantastic image. It looks like a wonderful experience. Perfect choice of shutter speed as the water isn't too frozen in time yet there is no blur of the people. I expect you needed a long lens or risk a wet camera. Good work

You made a nice composition in this picture I like it, I prefer just crop the lady and keep this guys there, thya looks a mistery guys as a phantoms at the same time atrap the eye and make it very interesting picture in fact I would like to be there doing the same loks so delicious and tonigth is so hot here I would like to be there.

For once you're depicting a place I've been too! Used to spend some time in Moalboal, or rather Panagsama Beach...
Interesting effect from the shower is captured, and this is a great feeling after trekking humid jungle to reach Kawasan!

HI Renier,

Fantastic capture! I really like the way the figures are reacting to the waterfall. The two lads, heads down enjoying the heavy massage of the water hitting their heads and shoulders. And then the lady, sitting down, trying to lean forwards out of the way of the force of the water and holding her hands over her head for protection. Colours and exposure are great. Composition is pretty good but I think you should have panned just a little more to the right as the lady's feet are right on the edge of the frame at the moment.

And with this, your shot passes 100 points! Well done on this! Wonderful shot, I may have been tempted to have tried a longer exposre to get the water in that soft-silken texture but as the people were moving about this would have caused some distortion. I feel more contrast and brightness are required, but overall the image is worth its recognition as a special piece. Great details and a unique format. Thanks for sharing with us all.

Wonderfully photographed water falling. For me you choose best timing possible - the water is nor changed into crystal nor turned into thick milky soup. Love it that way - so waterlike :)). And the photo itself is greatly composed and so dynamic...

Great exposure, composition and gestures in this one. We can almost hear the loud woooosh of the place and feel the pressure on our heads. This should have been a great zoom, otherwise your camera would surely be soaked to the pants :P

hi renier,
i had the chance to be in this place from my recent cebu sojourn. i must say that it was a tiring 3-hour trip from lahug. the most fun about going there was the TABUAN along the way where i feasted on the real bibingka baked infront of my eyes. i had 5 all at once (mura lang at pph 5 each)and was contented of course. i have shots of this kind, those german guys on their speedos and such trying to outdone the local guys at balsa race. anyway, the picture says it all- fun, fun and more fun. i will post my share of this later.

Wow. What a freeky looking shot. It looks as if the man is jumpin up to get that girl. GIRL LOOOOOOOOOOK UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I gues there sre actually two men but it almost looks like one and the same but he's moving so fast as to leave a trace of himself behind. Nicely captured this one and very well composed and framed.
