Photographer's Note
This architectural ensemble was constructed in early 16th century in commemoration of victory over Lithuania in the battle for the town of Smolensk. It also served as a fortress to defend the shallow of the Moskva river. The convent is notorious as a place where Russian most prominent women were forced to take a veil. The Smolensky cathedral (two of its cupolas are seen behind the wall-tower) is now one of the most ancient edifices in Moscow.

All's great but too small to be admired... Sorry for being so picky :)

Hi Nastia......
Marvellous work I must say......I had never seen this Convent in such an explicit way.....Dream world. Bravo
The dark background, which of course is natural gives an outstanding look to the place.
Keep posting and sharing your photos.
