Photographer's Note
This was taken in China Town. I'm not sure what they symbolize, but the linear placement of the lanterns caught my attention.

Hi Renier. Lovely shapes and colors. Impressive POV in excellent sharpness and unusual light. It looks like a toy house. Regards, Daniel

Hello Bay,
Striking colors, patterns, and shapes. This is really interesting as the shutters in my house are yellow, and I have a few similar lanterns hanging in my backyard. Excellent work. Have a good w/e. Danilo

I like this yellow and red colour contrast and the perspective "from below". Certainly some very nice decoration you found here. Also the clarity here is perfect. Maybe a dark frame could have highlighted the colours even more but I also like it as it is. How do you manage to post such large pictures? Mine always have over 200k when I try a bigger size so they are usually small...

Hi Renier. This a double magic with both the classic window shutters and the red lantern. Very effective POV. Excellent clarity and colours. This would likely also look very good from the opposite side of the street. Please post another of this if available. TFS. Murray.

A perfect photo that certainly deserves more smileys ! The architecture is typically Singapore, also the way they restore buildings there, and the red + yellow colours are very auspicious in the Chinese culture, this is a joyful photo and the graphism is superb,
Bravo !

Love the light, the composition and the colors. I would have taken one or two steps to the right so physically the camera would have been dead center and the perspective would have been more symmetric. Hope this is helpful.

Hi Renier,
Excellent POV gives us a veiw straight up this impressive facade with its intricate yellow shutters that are complimented by the wonderful orange lanterns. A beautiful bit of Asian archticture.

Hello Renier
Loved this scene. It’s actually very beautiful and IMO underrated. Excellent ‘symphony’ between the red lanterns and the yellow French windows. If I have to nitpick, maybe you could have shifted a wee bit to the right to get a perfect symmetry. But no doubt, an excellent shot.

Angshu
