A thousand Buddhas, a photo from Ayutthaya, Central

Photographer's Note

Here in the Ancient city of Ayutthaya I found a temple with rows upon rows of ancient Buddha inages. Each one lovingly adorned with a safron robe by the modern day caretakers of this ancient land. When seen from the side you get the true understanding of the beautiful symmetry and repetition of shapes. Even so, each image retains a uniqueness all its own.

interesting photo, the yellow suits them well. I would suggest and improvement: crop the photo to where the small buddahs end. In this one you can create a feeling of even longer row of statues. However, I don't know if you want to create such an imitation :)

I can see that you gave a lot of thought to the framing of this, Paul, to bring the diagonals into the picture from both the top and bottom right hand corners. The result is very effective. Good choice of f stop too. Cheers . . . David

A very nice image this...I've been to Ayutthaya in January & remeember this place. You've actually done very well here in terms of the POV. The beautiful statues and the bright dresses have come out very well.
