Photographer's Note

The second holiday here to Sakhon Nakon. Far from the actuals problems in Bangkok, people think first of enjoying.
They wait this moment since one year and well plan to take advantage of it. Cubic métres of water are poured in the streets. Difficult to escape the shower!!

This is an extraordinary picture where the water is the main eye catcher. Simply superb definition and brightness. Congratulations.
I had the chance of being in Burma during the water festival in 2007 and it is something unforgettable. Four days of madness and happiness at the same time.

Je suis moi même a Chiang Mai, et je connais les risques qu il y a quand on a un appareil... non sous marin! Bien saisi le moment du jet et un bon cadrage serré sur l'action... au télé c'est le seul moyen de sauver le matos!!! j'ai créé un thème sur Songkarn, mais celui d'il y a 2 ans...

tu t'es fait une spécialité des seaux d'eau thaïlandais ! Là encore le mouvement de l'eau est bien figé. Et les couleurs (ici des costumes dorés) en mettent plein les yeux.

Perfect timing - you caught a good moment! The arc of the water leads through the composition, and frames the smile of the thrower. I love the primary colour palette too.

Image très dynamique et le choix d'une vitesse élevée a permis de figer l'eau et le mouvement. Cela me paraît judicieux. Les couleurs sont agréables, tout comme l'expression de l'enfant.
