Photographer's Note

Yesterday I showed the interior of the beautiful mausoleum of the unhappy princess Mazlumkhan. Gert was interested in the exterior view of the dome, so here it is.
Everywhere in Uzbekistan, the local people wanted to talk to me. They were very surprised that I was travelling alone. Especially the Uzbek women often said that they wouldn't dare to travel like me. Why? It was such fun that they asked many questions - about the family, job, whatever. Almost always was: A diedushka gdie? (it means: where is the grandfather? my husband). I was so glad that my Russian was fluent.

In Workshop #1 I am sitting and chatting with the local women and the driver.

In Workshop #2 the general view of the necropolis, in two parts and still not all. It is really big!

All better seen in the large format.
