Photographer's Note
I didn't speak to many people in Ha Tien - my Vietnamese is basic and I only had a few conversations with one man who could speak English.
Walking down to the market one evening I passed a house with open windows offering a glimpse into another life.
I hoped the girl would notice me but the TV programme held her attention, so I walked on through Ha Tien's quiet streets.

Cadrage intéréssant. Le contraste entre le rouge et le blanc donne de la force à cette image.

I love the red shadowy walls Brian, making a natural frame for the more sterile interior. Fine details. Well seen, I can imagien that your hart was beating while taking this urging her not to turn and se you, thus undoing the moment.
I can soak in this Vietnamese atmosphere.
By far the best image I have seen this weekend.

Hi Brian,
The outsider or the voayer?:)) Great capture, the position of her body is magical, and the red walls are a blessing. Well done.

hello Brian,
I like this photo very very much. The light is special with the red colour and the white light inside. It looks like a scene from a movie. Really beautiful !

Brian: a bit voyeuristic perhaps, but your composition and contrasts are impeccable. A fine, real-life, street-level shot. best, c

Interesting and very creative capture with very unusual colours on the natural frame. They give a distinctive artistic touch to this picture. Quality is very good. A great one.

Hi Brian,
Wonderful red framing for this intimate
capture from Ha Tien.
I think her homework was too boring - that's
why she was rather watching TV... ;-D
I also like the tiny elements in the frame,
like calendar and the framed b/w photo.
Very interesting!
Thanks,
Robi

Hi Brian, I like this window into an inner-world that you've created. It is slightly voyeuristic but not in any distasteful way - quite the contrary. Exposure is spot-on. Do you think a little less external wall on either side might make it a stronger composition - perhaps square format? Anyway, lovely shot. Paul.

Hi Brian,
this red is perfect to frame this woman inside a white house.
She seems very interested by the TV.
Calendar and photo are nice details.
Very well done

Ha Tien eh, in the delta... Very nice feel to this one, Brian - that deep red on the outside and the ubquitous fluoresecent lighting of SE Asia. I can feel the night from this. Very nicely seen.
best,
Francis
