The French Area in Hanoi is hectic, crowded, charming but also green. There are loads of tourists but enough locals to make it a living big city.

Ooit een plaats dat zwaar werd gebombardeerd door de Amerikaanse vliegtuigen.
Is gelukkig vandaag niets meer van te zien
Het ij een gelukkige mensen op de straat.
Mooi reportage werk, daar hou ik van. Bedankt.

Hello Gerrit,

This is lovely!
The tree lined street looks busy with parked and moving vehicles but this lady just captures the show!
I love that she is wearing traditional headgear whilst she is busy delivering flowers, in a most eco-friendly way.
I would imagine that the bottles were for her own consumption

I'm curious, is there a special reason why the drain is covered? There appears to be a rubber pipe accessing it from the pavement.

A nice street scene from Hanoi. The flower seller is well placed in the frame. I remember well the motorbikes parked everywhere partly on the street, plartly on the pavement, from my vistit there. Fine work:) TFS.

I remember some images of this town took by gert some decades ago, I guessed the bikes and the conical hats had been extinguished, but I see they are there yet.marvelous daily life scenery.

Hi Gerrit,
the lady walking with the bike and in the traditional hat makes such a great main theme here. There is plenty going on around her which tells us about the place and makes us learn about the world.
I like the guy on the motorbike carrying three large bags of something, it seems quite heavy!
