Photographer's Note

Have often wished I'd had a camera primed with me when I have spotted a balloon man, and here I was lucky. The constantly on the move colourful balloons made this an irresistible street scene even the blue bike had a role to play on this drab morning giving colours to the old quarter.

As everyone knows, the traffic in Hanoi is legendary so getting this split second shot took a bit of patience and luck! It must be quite a job by the sellers - probably husband-and-wife team, sorting out the strings at the end of the day....

Hello Abmdsudi,

I understand how pleased you were to get this photograph on the streets of Hanoi! You have captured two balloon sellers in the one shot!
The main focus is on the rear figure, not a problem as this can easily happen when figures are moving!
The subject is good, the composition is good, the balloon sellers almost filling the frame, and the m/g focus is spot on!

Hi Abmdsudi,funny title for this photo with perfect focus on the second subject, I think pedaling with these balloons is lighter, they could almost fly like a hot air balloon .. hehe ... still a particular scene captured in the best timing. Have a nice weekend and thanks,Luciano

Hello Abmdsudi, I am surprised that the two bicycles haven't risen into the air with so many balloons attached!
They take up so much space, quite a hazard on the road.
Yes, it is an irresistible scene, one that you just had to take.
