When I saw the smoke on the thumbnail, my first idea was about another Turkish report, but now I see this is peaceful work scene from Vietnam. Oh, I remember such white milky sky in Laos on April. Well done, Patrick!

an original glimpse of life going in a place where all tourists see is the stunning scenery and places of interest. This is so full of character, telling a story that is both compelling and expressive. Your usual immaculate execution and eye for something different. Love it!

Hello Patrick,
I love looking at your Vietnam images and it brings back good memories from last year for me. The smoke from the fire adds atmosphere to this very interesting image. Shame that the sky was grey for you but the bay seems beautiful anyway.

Hi Patrick,
The weather at Halong Bay is unpredictable and I think it is difficult to get some sunshine shots. But never the less there is a nice atmosphere here with the smoke and those fantastic boats being worked on, along with the outcrops in the background that are the signature of Halong Bay. NIce daily life scene.

Another WHS image today, one of the "must see place" in Vietnam. A small selection of typical Vietnamese boats draws the attention in and one can see in this beautiful bay and limestone karsts of varying shapes in the background. It really is an enchanting place and great effect thru' the smoke !! Well composed, great colours and lovely slight haze. Excellent capture indeed. TFS
