Photographer's Note
The old Havana
«Incredible» is the first word that comes to mind when I think about La Habana Vieja.
There are thousands of buildings waiting for retrofitting work, some of them are in quasi-ruin state.
I had never seen anything quite like it before, people living inside thee buildings with the floors being supported by temporary hand-made wood shoring
Walking through the streets of Old Havana, part of Unesco's World Heritage, a lot has been done to restore the grandiose, sometimes pompous buildings constructed during the island's more prosperous times, but there can be a lot of differences going from one street to the next.
The difference is evident after comparing with this other one building.

Hi Rui, nice pìcture, with a good point of view and saturated colours. I agree with you with the term "incredible" It is a place really beautiful, buildings that must have been splendid, places that can be turned again into something splendorous, but hopefully maintaining the spirit of cuban people, which is the best of Cuba. Chau chau,
Maria

Hello Rui,
It is interesting to see the difference between the dilapidated buildings in this shot and those renovated in your other. The perspective here is great, with a lot of depth down the street. However I hope you don't mind me saying, I find the the black pipes in the bottom right corner a little distracting. Nevertheless, a very interesting shot and I wonder what the future holds in this changing climate in Cuba's history.
Warm regards, Casper

Hi Rui,
Amazing picture even if the buildings are in a state of decay the have a lot of charm and beauty and you really hope the they one day will be renovated in a tasteful manner. Your light mangement is excellent here. Even if the street and buildings are in the shade your picture has a superb clarity. The colours are also beautiful. TFS and have a nice weekend!
Cheers,
Ulf

Excellent picture. The details in the shadows in contrast to the sunny area and the sky are astonishing.
Very well done.

Hey Rui,
A very nice picture taken from a great POV. Excellent details & sharpness, perfect colors. I like how the picture shows a side of Cuba that most tourists probably don't get to see. Excellent work!!! TFS

Hi Rui,
The angle of shot is perfect creating a nice leading line to lead the viewer's focus. Good details especially the imperfections in the wall. Contrast and color is also good. Well composed! tfs

Rui,
