This portrait is took in a refugge camp "la virtud".He is a young salavadorain boy eating "tortilla",made from corn,and normaly used as bread..but here,nothing to eat with..in this time the 2 big "powers" (usa/ussr) used to fight trhough the poor countries..the picture is a bit old,but,anything has changed??

Hi Howe,
Excellent POV. I agree nothing much has changed for the refugees, whichever country they maybe from, despite changed global equations. The kid certainly can make use of that food and also a new dress. I hope he has grown up to be a fine man now, I only hope!

Although the pictur was taken long ago, and the boy is now a man, it is quite beautiful and sad. The colors are rich and the boy is complemented by the textures of the fabric and wall behind him. It is a lovely, timell image. Well done!
