Masaya Volcano
When I remember back these many flights I’ve taken in the past, there is nothing else than the spectacular views of the world below the airplane that remain in my memory; views which we are not able to see from the ground.

Enjoy the view of the world outside the airplane window as I've seen and captured it with my camera.

I’ve taken this photo of Masaya volcano in Nicaragua during flight from Managua (Nicaragua's Capital City) to San Jose in Costa Rica (on board Costarica Airlines ATR-42 airplane). ATR 42 is a turboprop airplane with wings above the cabin. The photo was taken from an altitude of around 6,000m a.s.l.

Masaya volcano is located around 20km south of Managua. Masaya is one of 18 distinct volcanic centers that make up the Nicaraguan portion of the Central American Volcanic Belt.

Local folklore of the Masaya Volcano revolve around the belief that the volcano is a gateway to Hell

Hi Miro,

The wing of the aircraft is helping to frame the scene. The aerial point of view is showing the cdolors and details of the active Masaya volcano and its surroundings. The light has a good effect on the colors. Have a nice day.

A great Volcano picture from high on the sky, Miro.
Inspite the mist, this kind of earth phenomenon, it doe's not matter how good is the result of a photo - the view is awesome, showing the power of mother-earth.
A close to this ,mountain i can see villages and roads - amazing how people live afoot to this. Impressive view.
