Tthe woman is an Emberá Indian who populate the southern part of Panamá namely the Darien Gab - the only piece of wilderness bisecting the Pan American Highway.

Also she's extremely kind.

I think this is a very beautiful photo. The contrast and lighting is really nice and the subjects are framed well. Great glimpse of a culture. It would be nice if the photo were a bit bigger. Also, this is a really interesting picture and it would be nice to know a bit more about it-a note would be really good :) Beautiful photo regardless.

It's a good and educational introduction of such tribes and with your simple text, it's pretty well presented.A well composed image except the angle of capturing the mother and her child can be improved to make the presentation much interesting and unique.
I like the tattoo that was drawn onto her body, and with the sharpness level that you have executed, it's very well seen.
Congrats, Sune, and hope to see more of your tribes' photo.

Wow such an amazing shot. Personally it gave me a great info about the culture of this region which I didn't have any idea about.
From technical point of view, it's a well composed shot with nice light and DOF. You used the best of your fabulous 85mm lens in this photo:)
