PREFACE
Our ancestors were happy with weather spells.
But it's too difficult for me to translate weather spells
Google is also not always to be trusted for translation.
Just my bike ride on January 28 early in the morning, when the sun comes up
The weather and the calendar have gone hand in hand since time immemorial. Admittedly in the summer it will not snow anytime soon and in the winter, we will not sunbathe extensively on the beach. Then there is the natural rhythm of the seasons, which is also reflected in agriculture. In this way we automatically come to the weather proverbs that are derived from that. Often these weather spells are themselves marked by reference to certain Saints or holidays. Soon you get the feeling: what about that calendar, or who is that Saint who is mentioned in a weather spell.
Our Western calendar has its origins in the ancient Roman precursors. In principle, the oldest calendars were based on the orbit of the moon =(month), or rather the return of the same moon phase. In addition, on the recurring beginning of the seasons, so on the sun.
I hope you like it.

Hello John,
These trees are quite spectacular with their relatively short trunks and very long branches rising like a giant's brooms. The fog covering the fields and the low sun create a fascinating atmosphere. You placed the sun very neatly behind the last tree. The effect is nice and it helped to save the exposure.
Kind regards,
Gert

Hello John, a simple scene but taken with great style. The trees with their distinctive shape and thin spindly branches are silhouetted beautifully against the misty background. The sun is well placed off centre and is a lovely focal point.
Thanks for sharing, kind regards, Jean.

Hi John,
The length of the road is giving depth to the composition. The point of view is showing the details of the trees. I like the effect of the sun coming through the fog. Have a nice day.

Hi John
Such a splendid rural scene, the natural colour works best as it enhances the misty early morning light and also shows all the details of those overwhelming lines of trees. Very well composed and captured with feel of depth.
Best regards

Hi John,
Amazing pattern of the elegant trees so neatly aligned along the road. You have been there in a spectacular moment with the sun was so low and you have hidden it behind one of the trees.
The aspect of the road adds a nice motif. And even the rough road reflects some of the bright sunshine.
The fog in the distance adds a nice touch here.
Beautiful composition,
M

Hallo John,

Hello John These trees look like the willows in Masovia. Nice view of the frosty field. Wasn't the road slippery in these conditions? Excellent composition.

Hello John,
You have chosen an excellent viewpoint, the trees, with vertical branches make a great sense of perspective, as they diminish in height, along the roadside.
The hazy mist is highlighted with gold by the last tree, as the sun tries to shine through its branches.
The whole scene creates the atmosphere of an early morning adventure.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Hello John,
Nice idea to keep the sun behind the naked trees on the road, that's gave sharp effect with the backlight.
Fog is always a difficult task, fairly well done photo.
Best regards,

Hi John.
Splendid composition with the good perspective that the road gives that disappears in the curve behind the fog, the sun fights to overcome it, very beautiful the backlight of the trees on the left with powerful trunks and fine branches rising towards the sky, as if protesting against the pruning.
Very nice color, optimum management of luminosity and sharpness.
Very well done. My congratulations.
All the best and have a good week.
Luis.

Dear John,
You managed to present a really atmospheric shot this time, which at the same time obeys the rule of thirds. Congratulations!
Best Wishes,
Gy.
