Photographer's Note
There are so many pictures taken of this famous bridge, here's what it looks like to be on the bridge in the early morning.
This bridge was restored using the parts that had fallen into the river during civil wars. Buildings around it remain with marks or holes. This bridge connects the Croat/Christian and Muslim areas. This view is from the middle of the bridge looking onto the Muslim side of the river.
The country this place is in is officially called Bosnia & Herzegovina now. This is in the Herzegovina part.

Bonjour Dan,
Photo plein de symbole et bien équilibré grace au personnage.J'ai autrefois visité Mostar du temps de l'ex-yougoslavie. Le pont été intact et le gens sautaient depuis le parapet.

Hi Dan,
Very beautiful juxtaposition of the buildings and great entry point with the lady leading into the picture. The grey tones are very restful and pleasing. Very well seen. Regards.

You have the ingredients for a fine image here Dan and handled them quite well. The image is sharp enough to show the fine detail in the distant buildings as well as the walkway this woman traverses. I agree with Amandine that warming the image a bit is an improvement. I played a bit with the image but I'm out of workshops for the day so all I can do is muse about possibilities. I rotated the image with the straight wall at the bottom of this ramp as target. Then I cropped, primarily at the left and a bit at the bottom to create a square image. Doing so brings our attention to the stone buildings in the background, with the woman approaching from the right, as you have it. I added a fifty pixel white frame as well. You'll have to take my word for it Dan, it was very nice... ;-)
I appreciate you sharing photos from your travels through Europe. Although you were musing about changing equipment, your Pentax does very well. This is good work.
