Photographer's Note
Either of these 2 street scenes from Český Krumlov could have been the main upload. The other is in a workshop. This town ties with Sighisoara in Romania as the nicest small town in Europe in my books. It is similar to the old town in Prague but lacks the oppressive crowds. The green ivy clinging to the wall in the centre has almost completely turned red.

Hello Chris,
I haven't been here but I agree about Sighisoara although I would also mention Berat and Gjirokaster in Albania. Maybe this is neater and definitely more colourful.

Gert

Bonjour Chris,
La présence des personnes anime la scène. La prise de vue permet de voir les détails de la façade des immeubles. La lumière fait ressortir les couleurs. Bonne journée.

Hello Chris,
Each facade has its own characteristics, different colors and style. Itslike walking through architecture's exhibition there.
managed well the light over the shaded street scene.

Hello Chris,
You are right about the two photographs being worthy of a main post! I slightly prefer the w/s, with its sense of depth and a more varied way of moving from f/g to b/g between the buildings.
Each is bright, sharp and colourful and, as you say, has a welcoming feel from the figures, without being threatened by a crowd!!
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Hi Chris
Another place that had been on our agenda for last year. A good one of the old colourful buildings with few tourists although I thought that Český Krumlov also normally gets more than its fair share.
cheers

Hello Chris,
Perhaps it depends at what time of the year you visit Český Krumlov ...
I loved this city as much as Sighișoara. But the Romanian town had far fewer visitors than the Czech one when I was there.
Excellent architecture shots!
Wonderful as in a fairy tale.
Best regards, Paul

Hi Chris
Oh this brought back memories right away, I went back and viewed my posted shots from here and I'm surprised I posted only 2 I think...I should post more. and you're right, the crowds here are far far less, much slower pace. but still very photogenic and a nice place for a day or two. good use of the curve in the street, we get to see the fronts of the buildings and their individual personalities. cheers
