Photographer's Note
Another view of the St Vitus Church, which dates from 1438 AD. At left is the Kabana Pension. I did not stay there. A pity about the scaffolding across the canal. But despite that and the strong backlight, I liked the colour and composition.

Bonjour Chris,
Les immeubles cadrent bien l'église. La prise de vue permet de voir les détails des immeubles et de l'église Saint-Vitus. La lumière met en valeur la beauté des couleurs. Bonne journée.

An unusual POV upon the Cathedral, Chris, yet managed a good view of its prominent clock-tower above the houses surrounding.
Good evening,

Hello Chris,
It seems or the church standing above on the houses.
You chose a wonderful angle with frontage and church tower.
Excellent sharp and clear to look at.
Panorama with river and arches in depth .
Perfect perspective and colourful image.
Very well done, TFS.
Best regards,
John

Hello Chris,
Although I must say the earlier photo was better, this is still a good one of a number of fine buildings and a spectacular church. You had to walk a short distance to take this shot, and the different angle provided a different and more complicated light. But the view is still nice and the wooden bridge filled with autumn leaves provides a nice foreground.
Thanks for your kind words on my latest photo.
Best regards,
Gert

Hello Chris,
I like the colour of the buildings, too!
Coincidentally, they match the autumn leaves.
I like the close juxtaposition of the cluster of buildings, with the church tower peering over the back, its two clocks seeming like watchful eyes!
I'm not sure I would have included the whole scaffolding, in the f/g. If you crop to the back piece of fencing, the photograph seems more compact. Just try it. See what you think.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Hello Chris,
Such a lovely view of this town with the charming, most yellow buildings around the small bit of water and the elegant church tower rising up at left. The upper right hand corner left some nice space for the autumn tree as well. Great and well composed shot.

Hello Chris,
I didn't immediately recognize Český Krumlov in this photo.
Perhaps if I had looked more closely at the church tower.
You took the photo exactly seven years ago.
Yet it is clearly more autumn there than it is today here.
Nice contrast between the yellow facades, the many leaves and the dark water.
Best regards, Paul

Hi Chris,
I have heard about this attractive destination but have yet to visit it someday. Very colorful place which your photo demonstrates very well in spite of the cloudy sky and shade. The colors stand out. The church is nicely positioned off the centre.
Very well done,
M

Hello Chris
A fine capture, technically very well executed with great sharpness and colours. I also like the 'distorted' composition, with lots of obstructing lines, e.g. in the front and on the walls of the houses. Above it all, the St Vitus church, the subject of your picture, seems to take second place and not minding it. The ensemble works!

Hello Chris,
After a few days on the island of Lanzarote, and then others of tourism here in Madrid, accompanying some friends from Barcelona, I am back in good spirits, with all of you.
Wonderful vertical composition, which allows us to see in the same plane, the charm of these colorful facades and on them the tower and roof of the church that stands tall like a giant.
A fantastic photo, with beautiful natural colors, very good lighting and excellent sharpness.
Very well done. Love it.
Enjoy the weekend.
Very best regards.
Luis.

Hello Chris,
The church rises out of the pension elegantly. About the scaffolding, I didn't even notice it until I read your note.

MT
PS. Thanks for pointing out my spelling error, I corrected the title.
