Wenceslas Square, a photo from Prague, Bohemia

Photographer's Note

Less a square than a boulevard, Wenceslas Square has the shape of a very long (750 m, total area 45,000 m²) rectangle, in a northwest–southeast direction. The street slopes upward to the southeast side. At that end, the street is dominated by the grand neoclassical Czech National Museum. The northwest end runs up against the border between the New Town and the Old Town.
Wenceslas Square is one of the main city squares and the centre of the business and cultural communities in the New Town of Prague, Czech Republic. Many historical events occurred there, and it is a traditional setting for demonstrations, celebrations, and other public gatherings. The square is named after Saint Wenceslas, the patron saint of Bohemia. It is part of the historic centre of Prague, a World Heritage Site

Hello Grzegorz,

This is a place that I have never seen before but, you are right, it seems very much like a boulevard, a very attractive one. Your pov works well, with converging lines, to guide us from the lovely f/g flowers, to the hustle and bustle of the street. A fine dof keeps the many details sharp and interesting.

Witaj Grzegorz,
co za piekne miejsce, az chcialoby sie tam specerowac bez konca. Piekna architektura, piekne kwiaty, cudowna atmosfera. Tego mnie tutaj tego brakuje, bo zycie spedzamy w samochodach. Pieknie wykonane zdjecie tak cudownego miejsca do zycia. Podoba mi sie bardzo.

in October I was in Prague too and took some similar pictures. I really loved flowers right in the middle of the square and your photo reflects well the liveliness of the city. Colors are very sharp and the sky is very impressive. Well done.

wow, i'm really impressed with this one.
I'll be in Prague in August, maybe i'll try to scope this scene out :)
I'm very impressed with the level of sharpness all the way to the end point, the F8 is certainly the sweet spot for this lens.
the clouds are perfect too, a nice complimentary subject.

Good deep pespective & fine depth in this shot. Light was not the greatest, but the colours come out well. The low-ish POV on the flower plants works well. Well done!
