hello...Olomouc is said to occupy the site of a Roman fort founded in the imperial period, the original name of which, Iuliomontium (Mount Julius), would be gradually changed to the present form. Although this account is not documented except as oral history, archaeological excavations close to the city have revealed the remains of a Roman military camp dating from the time of the Marcomannic Wars of the late 2nd century. wiki source

Hello Dale,
Olomouc seems to be a very beautiful town. And quiet also.
The different colours of the facades makes this street and also the church look fantastic.
The cobblestones add more charm to the picture.

So fantatsic street shot, that seems to be a cinema set otherwise firytale story's world. Overlapping of several pastel colors houses are so wonderful and warm color touch is so marvelous. Road signs are a little regrettable to see, but we have to compromise, there are several citizens there.

Hello Dale,
I recognize this well. I took photos from the same spot where you were standing. It looks the same as in 2015, even the flowers outside the windows of the pink building are the same. Only some graffiti on the green building to the left, near the traffic sign, has been washed away. I guess we both thought the pastel colors and the church in the background were worth a photo.

THis photograph of a steep, cobbled street edged by pastel coloured, attractive houses, suggests that this is a very pretty town. Only the road signs give away the secret of the modernity of the photograph!.
Your viewpoint is well chosen, using the street as a natural guide, winding towards the glimpse of the church.
