Photographer's Note

Veteran bus of Väinö Paunu Oy on display at Keskustori of Tampere. The model is Finnish built Sisu SB/6200 from 1939.

Finnish word 'Sisu' means something like guts, stamina, perseverance to keep up through hard times. Both mentioned companies indeed have it and are still active. Väinö Paunu Oy is a major bus operator in Tampere region. And Sisu builds nowadays heavy duty trucks in cooperation with Renault.

Sometimes happenings at Keskustori surprise me completely. This time I only had my phone camera with me. But it really does take decent pictures on a good light.

Great shot from this old bus, and excellent how you placed it inside this vertical composition, that works perfectly well.

not especially my style of pictures, but this one is done very well. A nice old bus (in perfect condition) and as you mention : very good quality for a picture taken with a cell phone !

I like old vehicles like this, they have a lot of old style of life appeal to me, this is wonderful and beautiful, well done,
it's a pity it don't have any reflections, I would gladly have inserted this photo in my theme, anyway, compliments.

A nice moment of history captured by your handy phone camera.It really does have surprisingly good quality!Very sharp with good detail throughout.A nice angle to capture its backdrop of its surroundings and blue sky.Well improvised!

I never knew that Finland made cars, trucks or whatever and even less that it would be called SISU! How exquisite!! And I know you probably have no clue that I have been looking for a proper truck and the right company for already two years! HA! Now I might have come that huge leap forward that I have been looking for!! Woah! Thank YOU for this brilliant upload, this mind and world opening picture and information! That's a very nice Oldie, and very well maintained as it seems, under the summer light it's shining ! I'm far from been as qualified as you, but it looks a little bit like ancient Saurer trucks as well. I know your current series are about details, however I'd appreciate to see more of this fine Oldie, keep it in mind for when you run out of series ;-)
