A view from Strasbourg Cathedral. When we were visiting Strasbourg's historic city centre, dancers with their traditional costumes exhibit a very nice performance.
*Strasbourg Cathedral de Notre-Dame is known as one of the most beautiful gothic cathedrals in Europe. Erwin von Steinbach is credited for major contributions from 1277 to his death in 1318. For the next four centuries, due to the height of its tower (142 m), the Strasbourg Cathedral was considered the tallest building in modern world. Furthermore, it was unique because it was one of the few gothic churches equipped with only one tower. Today it is the sixth-tallest church in the world. The cathedral is visible far across the plains of Alsace and can be seen from as far off as the Vosges Mountains or the Black Forest on the other side of the Rhine. Sandstone from the Vosges used in construction gives the cathedral its characteristic pink hue (from wikipedia).
