Sous le ciel et les nuages, la cabane sur la dune regarde l'avenir avec angoisse.
A chaque tempête, les vagues rongent le sable.
A chaque marée, la mer avance.
Déjà, les murs se fissurent, les planchers craquent, et les fenêtres ne ferment plus.
La côte normande perd ses dunes, inexorablement.
Et la petite maison va finir à la mer.

Under the sky and the clouds, the hut on the dune looks at the future with anguish.
With each storm, the waves corrode sand.
With each tide, the sea advances.
Already, the walls fissure, the floors crack, and the windows do not close any more.
The coast of Normandy loses the dunes, unrelentingly. And the small house will finish in the sea.

Ce ciel moutonneux semble s'acharner sur cette petite maisonnette... Un beau cliché dans la hauteur qui releve la sensation d'espace. J'aime bien le contraste du toit qui attire l'oeil. Le n&b est bienvenu.

I am smiling seeing this magnificent shot, Bertrand. It seems we are interested in similar themes these days, which is very nice, the synchronicity. The tiny human construct under the vastness of the sky above is poetry itself. A wonderful shot, yet again, with superb tonal range.

Un ciel lourd qui écrase la petite maison.

Cela me rappelle l'histoire de la chèvre de Monsieur Seguin qui lutta toute la nuit contre le loup, puis au matin, il se jeta sur elle et la mangea...

Une excellente utilisation du noir et blanc.

Hi Bertrand - the sky looks amazing in this photo, I really like the low viewpoint used here which gives us a great view of the clouds. The house looks quite precarious in it's location on the sand dune!

Hi Bertrand,
This is a picture that should be enlarged to, lets say, 2 * 3 meter and placed on the wall of a large room. Then the powerful composition will become fully visible. Black & White is here absolutely the right choice!

Excuse moi pour être paresseux et ne pas écrire en français - je le comprend très bien, mais il est plus facile pour moi d'écrire en Anglais.
This one catch my attention for the fantastic compo, simple and very dramatic, with the thin and dark strip of land with a tiny house and the great cloudy sky.
It's really a great photo, much inspired and inspiring.
Then I noticed that it shows something that I have just seen today on a beach South of Lisbon: coastal erosion. What a coincidence! It's a really sad thing - on my case, the large beach that is part of my joyful memories of youth disappeared in half a douzen winters.

What an incredible sky and well worth its large share of the composition. The beach hut looks a little lonely there and seems to have an insecure future according to your note. B&W was a good choice.

Toutes les photos ne se transforment pas en N/B bien sur..!
Une bonne dose d'audace également pour avoir mis une si grande partie ciel dans cette composition.. !

Bonjour, Bertrand. Tu es dans ta période 'grands horizons' et cela n'est pas pour me déplaire. La maison a l'air minuscule sous ce ciel immense qui est garni de beaux nuages moutonneux. La lumière et les contrastes sont très bien gérés.

Bonjour Bertrand, you only protray a little part of land in this one and because of this and of course the very well rendered turbulent sky, it's very evocative. Th tonality is lovely. And it's very interesting take on the problem of coastal erosion, an issue in Holland too.

Une de tes plus belles photos, Bertrand. Le choix du B&W est excellent. La composition tout en hauteur avec très peu de place pour le sol et pour la maison. Le ciel est ici le plus de la photo et son importance diminue encore la maison qui est pourtant le point d'accroche.

Trés joli ciel nuageux, d'une grande complexité, comme un assemblage de petis nuages qui font comme un plumage de duvet. Le contraste entre la partie supérieure de la photo, toute en estompe, et la partie inférieure, trés nette, est trés réussi.

You know I love skies. I know skies, I can see good skies and I see when there is somebody who made a good photo of it. From your last tree photo's is this your best one. They are all three good, but this one has the best pov and the best quality and sky, fine details such the low horizon, and the choosen black and white. For a sky photo unusual, unusual but very nice, very good photo job here. With my compliments

J'aime décidemment bien cette série monochrome aux ciels impressionnants. C'est étonnant comme ce cadrage aerien met en évidence la petite cabanne qui aurait presque pu etre insignifiante au milieu d'un tel espace.

Salut Bertrand, j'espère vraiment que ton histoire d'objo est en train ou va s'améliorer car ça me fait chier cette histoire ... et franchement à lire ce genre de déconvenu ça n'encourage pas à se donner dans l'exercice de sa passion, la photographie est tellement chère comme loisir que si les équipementiers n'y mettent pas du leur un minimum c'est pas demain la veille que je risque de passer en mark IIDs lol ;)
Je suis en NB ce soir, je prends du NB chez toi, l'élève et le maitre, quel ciel ! Ca m'a décoiffé ;)
