Impression of Champs Élysées, a photo from Ile-de-France, North

Photographer's Note

We are looking in the direction of Arc de Triomphe through Avenue des Champs Élysées from Place de la Concorde. The distance is about 1.9 km from the POV, almost at the end of the day during the twilight hours. The street lamps along Avenue des Champs Élysée, together with the lights of the passing cars created a strong impression, one of the most memorable perspectives in Paris, different kind of daily life at different part of the city.

Hi Nubo,
There is much to correct in this scenery( Iwish you write to my mail at: [email protected] ).
This should had been a marvelous scenery, if you applied the following:
Backlight reduction, Noise reduction, add shrpness .
Also I'd take this under Sport-mode.
I have my version ready for yoy.

le luci vanno un po' troppo in sovraesposizione ma l'effetto del lungo viale con le tante auto e l'Arco sullo sfondo mi piace.
I colori della sera parigina fanno il resto,

Striking use of glare to create a wonderful vertiginous depth of perspective here. I love the contrast and the almost circus-like look of this scene, it conveys the spirit of the Champs-Elysées so well. I also like the softness of focus. This type of photo is really not about detail, it is about atmosphere. The silhouetted rectangular tree shapes against sky are well placed, and the off-centre placement of the arch is unexpected and pleasing. Well done!

Hello dear Nobu,

You have nicely juxtaposed the headlights of the coming cars and the lampposts to create this surrealistic image. I like the way everything converging at the end of the Avenue taking the viewer right into the Arc. Lovely colors of red, green and blue. The image looks fantastic as it is showing your creative mind. Your notes are always interesting and explains why you captured the image at that particular moment.
