Pink Rocks and Pink Lighthouse, a photo from Bretagne, West

Photographer's Note

Hello Everyone,

My photograph shows a different view of the Pink Granite Coast, this time with the lighthouse in view.

This is the Ploumanach Lighthouse (officially the Mean Ruz lighthouse) and is an active lighthouse in Côtes-d'Armor, France.

The pink colour of the rocks is evident and you can see that the lighthouse is composed from the surrounding pink granite. It marks the entrance to the channel leading to the port of Ploumanach.

It is not surprising that this is a very popular stretch of coast for walkers, swimmers and those wanting to linger over a picnic!

I like the picture with the big rocks, indeed the stroll people with pink short, it seems a skirt !
Maybe are my eyes a little bit worn out
Pleasant wide panorama view about the sea and lighthouse
Good presentation out an excellent angle taken.

Another well composed photo. The three persons brighten the view and you took the photo when they provided a good balance to the lighthouse. The greatest impressions are made by the two sections of rocks and the two areas of lighter and darker blue. It's quite a vivid photo with strong colours and a very good light.

The wideness of the sea is givng depth to the composition. The point of view is showing the details of the lighthouse. The light is making the colors to stand out. Have a nice day.

I really like the warm colours of the rocks and also their smooth shapes. The contrast with the calm wide sea is very nice. The lighthouse has got a nice design as well and the people are well included at left.

The lighthouse has indeed the same colour as the giant boulders.
A good example of integration.
Attractive composition with the visitors adding scale to the coastal scenery.
It was a very beautiful day and the blue colour of the sea and the sky contrast well with the pink rocks.

Looks a little like the east coast of Tasmania. We don't have a lady in red, so I suppose the man with the Scots kilt like cardigan draped around him will have to suffice! The bridge near the lighthouse looks like it might offer good photo opportunities. Tfs!

Seeing on the thumbnail , I knew I'm in for a treat :-)
I love 'cliff walks' ... what an amazing stretch of Rose Granite coastline !!!
The lighthouse seems to be sitting on the 'Stone Stacking', standing firmly and sturdily from the gravity pulls.
After a good walk , find a perfect little picnic spot to admire this spectacular rocky pink formations view.

I see an excellent visual balance in your picture provided by the imaginary diagonal line uniting the pedestrians to the lighthouse.
This radar of yesteryears, whilst still active, plays low profile due to the color and appears 'carved' in the same material as the pedestal it is standing on.
Lovely peaceful mood enriched of a rigorous horizon line.

Quite an interesting design of the lighthouse. Nice point of view which allowed you to include the lighthouse in the context of the sea. Also nie is the presence of the people with one of them bringing in some red color to the scene.

Nicely composed photo with lighthouse on right side and walking people on the left. A lighthouse with a square, stone structure looks like a castle tower. Great place to enjoy the walk.
