Relax in Paris, a photo from Ile-de-France, North

Photographer's Note

I felt in Paris like a rabbit on a field with lettuce.
One week visit allows only to have a quick view over most important places. In this rush of running through the town trying to see as much as possible I had a short rest in Garden of Luxembourg.
In the distance you can see the tower of Pantheon.

The Jardin du Luxembourg is the largest public park (22.5 hectares) located in the 6th arrondissement of Paris, France. The park is the garden of the French Senate, which is itself housed in the Luxembourg Palace.

This is a great shot of the Luxembourg Gardens. The people add a festive atmosphere for the shot. The trees frame the building and tower in the distance making for nice composition. The lighting and colors are great and the photo has fine sharpness. The dark sky provides nice contrast for the brightly lit scene.

What make this image so pleasing to the eyes are the dotted colorful people and the majestic tower in the background. Lovely grey sky that blends very well with green which dominates half of the picture. Beautifully composed with good balance, good clarity and great dof. Superb color saturation and contrast. This scene is so alive, and the colors are great. It is a classic view, but the wonderful architecture and the trees are still amazing to see. The dramatic sky and green grass are nice frames, too.

Witaj, Lubie to Twoje sformułowanie - jak królik na polu sałaty, nie słyszałam przedtem. Tydzień w paryzu to jeszcze nie tak najgorzej. Mozna całkiem sporo zobaczyc. Ja byłam 5 dni 30 lat temu i wydaje mi sie, z zobaczyłam calkiem sporo. Na mojej ostatniej wycieczce (tzn. pielgrzymce) było tylko po pare godzin we Lwowie czy Odessie. Koszmar. Fajny widok na Ogrody Luksemburskie i Panteon. Znakomita ostrość, fajne kolorki. Przyjemnie tak sobie posiedzieć... Warto by się znów wybrac do Paryża po tylu latach , ale mam tyle różnych pomysłów..

Piekna kompozycja w doskonalym wydaniu. Piekne miejsce, ale jak dla mnie zbyt duzo ludzi (ale gdzie ich nie ma) Swietne jest tlo z budynkami i kopula oraz ciekawymi chmurami. Bardzo ladna praca.

I understand you: so many things to see and to photograph!
and the best photos come out when one sit down and relax like here: a nice and alive composition with so many points of interest: the pond with the people, the lovely trees and even the Pantheon, all composed with your usual mastery and captured with the best quality. You also got a dark cloudy sky but luckily the scene was well lit so the contrast is very pleasant.
Another fine and enjoyable photographic work of yours.

pospacerowales sobie po Paryzu ale aparat nie lezal odlogiem. Piekne miejsce i jak tu widac - lubiane przez mieszkancow. Fajne panoramiczne ujecie, sporo tu sie dzieje, bdb jakosc zdjecia. Notka interesujaca.

Under a beautiful and impressive cloudy sky, a image full of life very well colected. image rich in details but too in colors. the vived color of the peopels arise very well in the vegetation. greta depht too with the plesanat propsect open to buildings nad the pantheon in the BG.

THe funny detail here is the palm tree, quite uncommon in Paris and leading to think it could be another place more to the south if there were no such typical roofs in the frame

I have been admiring this one for a couple of days! It has your trademark and beautiful clarity, but also it is sort of fun with all the activity! All the people stand out so well, and it suggests a fun relaxing time. In some ways it reminds me of a painting. Interesting light of course, with the storm clouds in the background. Very lovely shot. I love the very relaxing atmosphere, I wish to be among those poeple enjoying themselves in the beautiful park and you have such a nice POV to include the tower of Panteon, the sky is fantastic and with great cloud formation, I can almost feel like it moving clearing up, and the light is just enough to illuinated the scenery but not strong shadow. Really beautiful and natural colors. Perfect pp work too.

I like this so vital scene, which you have caught in these wonderful urban gardens, where the people rest peacefully while enjoys a green very nice environment.
A good framing that includes the beautiful architecture that appears behind the trees, in background.
The clouds in the sky create a dramatic atmosphere and they give a lot of power to the photo.

How surprising... I did just like this when visited the Luxemburg-Gardens in 6/1994 - meaning, we were sitting on the chairs around the pond and just taken it easy, after day long walk in Paris. The place is overwhelming, as you managed to show in your marvelous photo.
Great clarity, light nad the colors. Grey heavy clouds approched...

Un endroit plaisant qui appelle a la détente loin des bruits de la ville, c'est très joli, bien présenter, il faudra que je retourne a Paris un jour, prendre le temps de m'asseoir là, moins courir pour visiter le plus possible et moins de shopping :-)
