Sunflowers looking at the sky, a photo from Alsace, East

Photographer's Note

This old picture has been sleeping on my hard drive for 4 years, but I think it is a not-so-bad photography. I wonder what you would think about it.
The picture has been taken in a sunflower field near Flexbourg, a few kilometers at the west of Molsheim in Alsace (north-east of France).

Hi Stephane,

Excellent picture as usual, the quality and the composition are perfect. I like the way you singled out the sunflower on the right making it the center of the focus and composition while all the others are blurred. Wonderful juicy colors too.

Avec le temps pourri qu'il fait actuellement sur une grande partie du pays, je me doutais bien que cette photo datait d'au moins quelques semaines... Et bien, comme nous, ces tournesols cherchent le soleil, mais en plus, là, ils le trouvent ! Une belle vue estivale, comme on les apprécie à l'automne ou à l'hiver ;0)

Pour moi ce seront des louanges ! Une très belle image indiscutablement ! Le cadrage est judicieux, avec ce tournesol décalé dans l'image et un flou bien géré qui concentre le regard dessus. Les couleurs et la lumière sont excellentes. J'aime beaucoup !

Hello Stephane,

Great point of view. The lower position makes the Sunflowers bigger and the diagonal line in this picture creates a lots of depth.
Also the light/exposure is great: there are no hard shadows and overlighted pieces in the picture...Good job.

Pourquoi faire compliqué quand la simplicité suffit ?
