A Beautiful Beach in Brittany, a photo from Bretagne, West

Good Morning Everyone,

In the cold of winter, it is lovely to take a little trip back to the warmth of late summer, especially to visit a beautiful place like the Pink Granite Coast of Brittany.
The rocks are a delightful colour. It’s a beautiful coppery pink that glows in the sunshine.

From Bréhat to Trébeurden, the Pink Granite Coast stretches out in a series of remarkable curves facing a chain of islands and islets, beside fine sandy beaches sheltered by pines.

This is one of the first photographs that I took, where the pinkness is only just beginning to be evident, on the right hand side of the photograph. As we moved along the sea's edge, the pink became much more noticeable.

Of all the places I have visited in Brittany, this is one of the most beautiful coastal regions.

Hello Bev,
It's a fine view generally, and the more I watch the photo in the enlarged version the more interesting details I discover, including especially the castle on top of the green hill. But it is stunning how much a human being sometimes means to a photo. Imagine this view without the young man sitting on the large boulder, and it would have looked fairly plain and empty. He is essential for giving a structure to the composition. Possibly he just happened to be there, and you knew how to use him. At least I know for sure he's not your husband!

Hi Bev
The atmosphere of the summer well captured! I like the combinatino of colours. The pinkness is one thing but the blue here is amazing, both in the sky and reflected in water. Good idea to include the people. The one in the distance provides good sense of scale so we can appreciate the size of those huge boulders.

Hello Beverley,
A beautiful coastline with the large boulders in the sea.
The composition is very good and the photo has excellent depth.
Above the trees we also see towers and roofs of a building that could have been a castle. Maybe your hotel?

It is a beautiful place indeed and I feel a bit guilty knowing that it is so close actually. I suppose with the Brexit in full force it is not that easy to drive there anymore...

Beautiful picture, first sight was upon the blue sky reflection over water. Than, contrasting colors of the sand and rocks around.
The lone man on a rock made the viewer wonder about his thoughts...

Brittany is a region with a lot of natural beauty and beautiful villages, this beach with your splendid composition I remember very well, its pink rocks that nature has shaped is a great attraction, beautiful blues here both of the sky and the sea, in a great day.
Very effective coloring, which highlights the details of the image.

Yes, this is beautiful. It reminds me of a beach we visited in Hawaii, but the castle across the bay gives away it Old World location.
