Photographer's Note
The sprawling branches of this very old pine on the edge of the Bassin d'Arcachon. Branches that are long, crooked and so heavy that they need to be supported by poles to prevent them from breaking...

Hello Jean,
It's an interesting composition with the beautiful old tree creating a striking foreground. Behind it we get a nice view across the water. Making this in B&W had a good graphical effect.

Gert

Bonjour Jean,
L'étendue de la baie crée de la profondeur. La prise de vue permet de voir les détails du pin. Le noir et blanc donne un bon contraste à l'image. Bonne journée.

Bonjour Jean,
Very attractive tree, well captured here with the nice view of the coast behind. The giant tree branches frame the view nicely. Nice effect with the black and white rendering.
Excellent work,
M

Hi Jean.
Just arrived from my vacation trip, I'm back in the pages of TE.
Excellent composition in B&W, this centennial pine with its twisted branches has withstood many strong winds, very well protected.
Good management of light and sharpness.
A good job. I like.
Have a good week.
Very best regards.
Luis.

HI Jean
A spectacular old pine but it provides some good glimpses through to the water and the boat. Well composed.

Hi Jean
This shady matured pine tree looks so dominant occupying much of the frame which is very well exposed and balanced. There's adequate detail throughout. Well done

Hello Jean,
I like pine trees found around the Mediterranean. The stranger they look, the better!

Hi Jean,
This shot seems to be especially suitable for B&W. All those big branches reaching to every direction provided you a wonderful photo opportunity. Well done!

B&W was a good choice, I can assume the difficult light through the branches, Jean.
Clear and distinct outcome, bravo.
Bon weekend,
Ike
