Here at the edge of the quays of the Old Port, the Lighthouse of Gabut and the house of the lock keepers. This lighthouse is aligned with the previous lighthouse presented (the Phare maison du quai Valin). The aligned lights indicate to the boats the entrance to the Port of La Rochelle.

Bonjour Jean, La Rochelle is such a photogenic place and here you have found another very interesting scene.
A nicely composed view, it's well balanced with the lighthouse off to one side.

Bonjour Jean,
Very picturesque composition with the lighthouse off the centre. The little building balances the lighthouse on the other side, but I also like the trees, so decorative. Beautiful weather day. Pleasant well saturated natural colors.

Bonjour Jean,
Une drôle d'impression quand on ne connaît pas l'endroit. Il semble qu'un tremblement de terre ait provoqué une grande rupture.
Magnifique avec le phare rouge et blanc et avec les pins.
Des arbres qui bien sûr ne poussent pas chez nous et je les ai toujours trouvés beaux en France, en Italie, etc.

Found the precise location where taken this beautiful picture on the quay of the port: 46.1565,-1.152.
The small house across enable an easy find of the place. Wonderfully combined with the trees and light-tower.
