The wind was cold, violent and strong. It was hard to stand.
The waves were impressive, violent and strong.

It was... wild !

And this is my 200th post.
I thank all the people who visited my gallery, came back, again and again and gave me rich advices.
I want to thank all the people who posted great pictures that inspire me and help me to improve myself (I hope so ;=).
I thank Adam for such an useful and rare site.

Bonjour Stéphane,
Merveilleuse 200e qui explose comme il se doit.
ON ressent toute cette force incontrollable des flots, ces vagues qui nous écraseraient comme de vulgaires petits insectes.
Il ne manque que le bruit du fracas mais que l'on devine aisément, j'ai moi même assisté à des tempêtes en Mer du Nord.
Merci pour cet impressionnant partage.

Magnifique cette vague, on se rend compte de la puissance de l'ocean, la lumiere est magnifique, et je te felicite aussi pour toute tes images. ici j'aime bcp la presense des 2 mouettes, le ciel est top.

alors la tu fait fort, la vague est grandiose comme la photo, non la photo est grandiose, bon je me mélange les pinceaux, bravo champion pour la 200é, un instant que tu as saisi avec l'oeil du pro, lumière, couleur, cadrage, etc.... tout est super.

Bravo pour les 200 photos que tu as posté sur Trek. Je trouve que tu as pas mal évolué par rapport à tes premières photos et le plaisir que tu prends en photographiant se ressent sur tes photos, comme si tu t'étais décoincé.

Cette image est bien dynamique, cette eau en suspension dans l'air est une vrai œuvre d'art. La lumière et les couleurs sont belles. Et bravo pour avoir capté ces deux mouettes au loin.

Superb lighting and great timing with the birds at its best point. The fury of the sea is so beautifully captured and the dark grey tint adds to its anger. I can guess that the coming shots will be as agressive. Congratulations for the 200th and waiting anxiously for more to come. A pleasant day ahead.

Stephane, félicitation pour ta 200ème ! On peut dire qu'elle fait des vagues ! La lumière sur cette vague fait penser à un coup de projecteur. J'aime la présence des oiseaux luttant contre le vent et la multitude de gouttelettes en suspension.
Si tu as progressé, tes photos nous ont aussi fait progresser !

Congratulations on your 200th birthday! I will be going to the Somerset coastline for the weekend so I will see if I can get some seascapes. This picture has given me some ideas. The wave has been caught at the right time and the fast shutter speed has captured the water spray excellently. Well done and congratulations.

Congrats on your 200th post. The power, the fury and the raw beauty of the sea are well displayed here. This is an amazing POV, with the slice of dock and the spray, I am sure, reaching your camera! The two gulls are well seen, and I like the view of the angry sea in the background with the distant foaming wave contrasted against the inky sky. A powerful and effective shot.

What a spectacular shot you chose to celebrate. The timing to catch the huge wave is spot on and the shutter speed freezes the motion in time. It's wonderful too how the light catches the wave and what luck to also catch the seagulls in the frame.

Parfois je me demande comment je peux louper de telles photos.
Ici, on imagine aisément la force du vent et la fureur de la mer déchaînée. Très belle image ! Tu avais quelle vitesse pour figer l'eau ainsi ?

J'arrive évidemment très en retard pour les félicitations, malgré tout bravo, pour toutes ces belles photos dans ta galerie mais aussi pour celle-ci, l'eau qui parait gelée pour juste une fraction de seconde avant d'aller s'écraser fait une gerbe splendide sur ce ciel si sombre...
