Photographer's Note
it was really strange, you couldn't hear anyone crying or pulling out his hair, perhaps they knew it's not the tower burning (:
Anyway - this was one of these moments you'll probably never see again in your lifetime - right place, right time as they say.
Photo was taken from the Louvre Museum - the place itself is quite boring, but it gives you great opportunities to shoot portraits of people, because they are quite stable while staring at 'stuff' (;

Hi Marek,
What an old world feel you bring to this shot. The choice of sepia is fantastic. The noise adds to the mood.
The positioning of the towers, the people, the smoke rising away, everything is so perfect here. This goes right into my favourites.
Cheers,

Bonjour, Marek.
Une très belle photo, que je vais additionner à mon thème "Old postcards of Paris" (tout en sachant, qu'il ne s'agit pas des cartes vraiments anciennes mais des photos faites à l'ancienne mode.
Amitiés, Grazyna.

This is really like a old and romantic postcard.
Sepia works beautifully.
Well done!

if it was really the tower burning you would have become rich from selling the picture and your photo would also bear significant historical value...to tell you the truth i like it more as it is, a simple 'right moment, right time' shot nicely treated so as to convey a wonderful dramatic&retro mood ;)
be happy marek ;)

Hi Marek,
or should I say bonjour ? This is a great image, very much like a an old postcard from the early 1900's. What was burning? No matter, it's a superb capture, perfect pov at the right place and right time, well done. It deserves more acclaim.
Regards
Stephen
