Photographer's Note

"April in Paris" , sounds like a dream, but actually Paris has never been so cold, and TE viewers will not believe that it was actually freezing and snowing while I was waiting desperately for the blue hour / Actually 9.00 pm. was the right hour. at the Louvre Museum. I was happy though that nobody interfered with my tripod, perhaps the cold did the trick.
This was actually taken before 9.00 when it was somehow clear, and I caught a couple seemed to be sent
by someone who likes me.
The glass pyramid designed by the Chinese architect Pei, was a subject of controversy among the french people, but nowadays is accepted like the Eiffel Tower or the Beaubourg Museum as an icon of Paris.

Bonjour, mon cher ami Izzet,
Très belle et très originale prise de vue de la pyramide du Louvre qui a effectivement fait couler beaucoup d'encre à l'époque. Puis, petit à petit, les Parisiens se sont emparés de cet édifice et si l'on devait retirer la pyramide, il manquerait manifestement quelque chose.

J'espère que le voyage parisien se déroule bien.

Composition très originale, géométrique de la grande pyramide. La symétrie est rompue par les silhouettes qui donnent de la profondeur. Bien vu !

Excellent shot! The arch of the palace provides a perfect natural frame for the pyramid. The contrasting styles are shown very well here, because of the angle and the tight composition. The people walking through at the bottom add the final touch. Excellent work!
