Photographer's Note

The hall placed in front of the church allowed the parishioners to meet before and after the religious office. The hall called also to caquetoir ( e ) holds its name that the women tended to meet to exchange all the gossips of the village, they cackled (some of hens)!

The church without limping did not lack a bell (dating the 15th century), this one was situated over the hall in a small opening protected by a forming abat-son lean-to (for a better distribution of the sound).

Exposition bien maîtrisée permettant à la fois de faire ressortir les détails à l'intérieur, et de ne pas surexposer la lumière à l'extérieur. Bien vu.

Joli contraste et belle maîtrise de la lumière. L'arhitecture romane offre toujours une tres belle douceur aux photos prises de cette façon à partir du moment où l'éclairage est bien maîtrisé. C'est plus que le cas ici ! Bravo pour cette jolie vue...

Ce type d'exposition est toujours un casse-tête et l'exercice est parfaitement maîtrisé ici.
Chapeau en particulier d'être arrivé à ne pas boucher l'intérieur du hall et surtout la très belle charpente.

Well done Philippe , I think you have captured the light perfectly. Interesting construction. The view outside and the brickwork are excellent, both in detail and colour.

Wonderful shot, Philippe. Excellent job handling the exposure, and a very crisp rendition of the stone and wall textures. The diagonal angle really presents the sunlight falling in through the arches to the best. And the arches provide a beautiful man-made frame on the colorful park setting outside. L'exposition est très bien choisie, ce jeu d'ombres et de lumières donne un superbe résultat. Juste une petite remarque, dommage que le cliché soit coupé à gauche, amputant une partie de l'ouverture.

L'exposition est très bien maîtrisée, la partie extérieur n'est pas surexposée et la partie intérieur révèle plein de détails malgré une lumière fortement réduite.
La note est elle aussi très amusante du-moins pour moi.

I really love the sunlight outside and coming into the hall, the light is great, not too bright, not too dark and the "green" is a fine combination with the stones. Wonderful Philippe

humm on dirait une entrée d'une superbe cave de bon vin qui repose là-sous terre tranquillement...cependant c'est une église et je l'a trouve très belle par ses voûtes de pierres anciennes illuminées par le soleil toujours le bien venu...j'aime beaucoup certe ambiance de plénitude...merci pour le repos de l'âme et le partage de cet endroit...amitiés BI

J'aime bien le "look through" effet que tu as créé ici. C'est certainement pas facile: on doit éviter surexposition en en même temps veiller à ce que l'intérieur reste visible. Tu as donc bien réussi ici. J'aime aussi le contraste entre les douces couleurs des pières et le jardin vert qu'on peut voir à l'arrière-plan et le contraste entre la lumière (avec la projection sur le sol!!!) et l'ombre. Bien fait!

La batisse magnifique..composition 10/10, mais pour mon gout trop de saturation (?) pour les verts. Bon je veux dire trop irréels...mais l'ensemble un travail 'pro' ..

Bonjour Philippe,

La prise de vue permet de distinguer les détails et les couleurs de l'architecture du porche. La ligne diagonale du chemin est un atout à la composition. L'image est claire et nette. La lumière donne un bon éclairage au porche et rehausse les couleurs du jardin. Bonne journée.

Nice contrast and beautiful light control. The roman arhitecture still offers a very nice sweetness to the pictures taken in this way from the time when the lighting is well controlled.
