Photographer's Note
Photo catch with the festival of the grape harvest with Barr, procession of the Republican Guard regiment of the cavalry. The 523 horses of the regiment are distributed by dress in the units. The brass band went up in horses chestnut horses, the 1st squadron in chestnut horses, the 2nd squadron bais some, the 3rd squadron bais some brown and chestnut horses flarings. One finds with the regiment 85% of saddle French, 10% of thorough-bred, 5% d'anglo-Arabic and some trotters.

I think it is nice to catch a formal parade sort of of hand like this. It is funny to see their faces and postures in that frozen moment when nothing is really in the perfect position is was supposed to be.

Your shot is good and informative,thanks but they don't look so usefull as a guard,isn't it?
