sehr pittoreske Aufnahme in ausgezeichnetem Kontrast. Der Licht- und Farbstreifen der Sonne setzt sich hervorragend in dem gefrorenen Grau ab. Der Baum ist der zentrale Objekt um das Auge zu fangen. Klassebild. Ich hoffe, Du hast gut 2008 erreicht und das es so bleibt.

Hi Dimitris,
A great winter scene taken in a wonderful setting of light. The orange glow in the sunset is beautiful, just as the gradient of blue on top of that. The placement of the tree is excellent, and as small but important detail those two planes up in the sky are very good included in this photo.

Bonjour Dimitris,
ces deux couleurs pastels, bleu et rose se mélangent très bien et représentent bien les conditions de froid dans laquelle la photo est prise.

Un superbe cadrage qui nous plonge bien dans l'ambiance. J'aime moins ces deux avions dans le ciel, troublant un peu cette tranquilité.

I'm amazed by your picture. The frost everywhere creates a magnificent atmosphere, the light, the colours are just as they should be. I like silhouettes of the trees, the mist rising upon the forest and the single smoke coming from a chimney (?!. TFS and well done!

I love winter sunsets (although here in Brazil we don't have such a freezing weahter)! I think they're more colorful and impressive!
This picture of yours is very very nice! I can almost feel all the cold it was there! Then you insert a very interesting tree, the fainting sun and the two jets up in the sky! Not to mention the smoke going up in the background! Just very very interesting!

I have never seen your work before, outstanding gallery, very well done. This is just sublime with the off whites complimenting the subtle reds and blues. The trees sticks out like a sore thumb from the perfect sharpness and detail. The jets also show the size of this tree. Wonderful work, will keep an eye out for future work.

Hi Dimitri,

At least two great photos in one here - I like what you have presented and the two aeroplanes work really well adding some feature to the sky (I don't think that one aeroplane by itself would have worked). With the open sky at the top, your photo talks to me about the hope inherent in winter and the potential for spring and rebirth as part of the natural cycle of the seasons.

there is another photo, which I think has a different message: in which you crop to about 1/2 cm below the top of the tree. That, different, photo would focus more on the brooding nature of the landscape and lock things in to the snow and ice.

Not a better photo than the one you have offered us, just a different one.

An amazing shot of the sunset with beautiful shades of pink and purple in the sky. The frosted grass in the foreground gives a nice contast to the color of the sky. The streaks of the two planes are an added bonus. Good composition with superb colors and sharpness.
