Lindau Harbour Entrance

Once more the iconic harbour entrance in Lindau with the Lindau Lighthouse (Lindauer Leuchtturm) and a statue of the Bavarian Lion (Bayerischer Löwe), but this time taken after dinner and not long before sunset.

Hej Lars,
Jag tyckte väl att jag hade sett de här tornen förut. Men detta är en väldigt annorlunda komposition med ett mer attraktivt ljus och mer markerade speglingar. Trots att bilden är horisontell är det fullt med detaljer som skapar en ganska stark vertikal accent. Det var fint att du fick med änderna i förgrunden.

Hello Lars,

This is a delightful photograph, extremely well composed, with the line of mooring posts creating a linear perspective, as well as leading directly to the focal lighthouse.
The late light is beautiful for your atmosphere and gives the most glorious long reflections.

Hello Lars, I think that I like this shot even more than your earlier shot from the harbour entrance.
The low sun has given you a lovely light, and presented you with some beautiful reflections.
I like the positioning of the lighthouse and lion statue in this composition.
Viewed in the large version, we can fully appreciate all the details.

Hi Lars,

The reflections on the water are assets to the composition. The masts of the sailboats have a graphical effect. The point of view is showing the details of the lighthouse and of the statue of the Bavarian Lion. Well done, have a nice day.

De leeuw en de vuurtoren van een vorige foto in een nieuwe compositie.
Twee rijen aangemeerde boten leiden ons naar de haveningang.
Prachtige weerspiegelingen in de golven op het water.
De drie eendjes vormen een lieflijke voorgrond.

Looks a little like Rhodes Harbour in Greece, which also has lion statues. Good sharpness and splendid reflections with excellent repetition of the moored boats. Tfs!

Yes I can see it is a slightly different angle and very different light. The reflection is nice in the foreground. Very pleasant asymmetric composition.
I would certainly take hundreds of photos around this spot.
