Photographer's Note

This is the famous "Stoa Attalou" (=Attalos forum) at the historical center of Athens, Thisseio. It has been restructured and it's been used nowadays as a museum.
I photographed it tilted on purpose, wanting to focus on the repetual rhythm that the hard light and deep shadows make towards the sunny sky. I desaturated the photo (appart the sky) and cropped it.

Όμορφη ασπρόμαυρη και εκκεντρική απεικόνιση της περίφημης Στοάς αλλά και πάλι επιλέγεις μικρές φωτογραφίες για εδώ μέσα. Προσπάθησε να εκμεταλλευτείς τα 800Χ800 pixels που είναι το όριο. Π.χ. θα μπορούσες να βάλεις αυτή την εικόνα σε 800Χκάτι και να φαίνεται καλύτερα!

You tend to capture the functional value in an artistic way, while disregarding the form. It is like shooting a scene of the sea but purposely, intentionally gravely tilting the horizon. It can be unique and really artistic.

To post this in 800 pixels wide, use your editor image resizer Iro. And try to save this file, using enough jpeg compression to give you less than 200kb in filesize.

And in Trekearth, you can only post twice the same photo but the 2nd one, you need to add a note to explain why you repost it. After posting it for the 2nd time, you cannot post the photo again.

Καλησπέρα Ηρώ, I was drawn to this wonderful capture in y'r portfolio. Due to the almost 45 dgr tilt you have stripped away a fair part of the function of this old edifice and explored its graphic possibities in a great way. The result is a feeling of great depth and dynamics.
By the way: Did you include the couple on purpose? It's not distracting in any way, but it has its influence on the abstractness of y'r compo. Fascinating & great job!
