Photographer's Note
Here you see the beautiful church of Agios Vlasios (built in 1852 at the same place where an older church stood since 912, in Megalo ("Big") Papigo. In fact, the church is dedicated to 3 diferent saints simoultaneously, Saint Vlasios, Saint Demetrious and the Holy Trinity.
Its imposing belltower reaches a height of about 15 metres. The strange thing about it is that it's hexagonal something unusual for the villages of Western Zagori, where normally the belltowers are rectangular. Hexagonal belltowers are very common in the villages of Eastern Zagori.

Hello Hercules,
this is a fine and original composition with that big tree expanding its branches all around the towerbell and the low church in the bk. The graphic effect and the textures are so good both in the B&W an in the colour version. The image is very incisive and of great beauty and artistic value.
Bravo.

Hi Hercules,
what a mood! The tree, the church and the sky, all enhancted by the B&W look great and transmit an unique mood. The vertical framing worked great here, everything is tack sharp and compositionally wise perfectly done. Wonderful one!

Kalispera Hercules..
very sensitive capture and conversion into black and white modus, looks real pretty, even i would personally prefer this time the colored version, but that´s my personal opinion, so far..

The old tree looks quite ominous as it prepares to pounce on the unsuspecting tower. The textures in the stone work are enhanced in this B&W presentation.

Kalispera Hercules.

Geia sou Irakli,
You found a very interesting and beautiful church and created a beautiful dramatic shot. The desaturation works well. It is also useful to see the colour version with the nice tones of the stones. I love the both! Xairetw,

Hercules,
your B&W conversions always intrigue me the most. YOu have a very good eye and technique for this kind of presentation. The composition with the tree in the background embracing the tower in the foreground is a very strong one.
Did you try to get rid if the wide angle distortion?
