Photographer's Note

A detail from a boat and the sea in Crithoni, eastern Leros. The seabed seen through the water is typical of the sea along the eastern coast. There are also sandy and seaweed patches.
Nikitas' boat is always moored by the little jetty of Crithoni, a few metres from his house. He's a passionate amateur fisherman and goes out to sea every day, weather permitting. In summer afternoons, before he goes or after he's returned from fishing, the children of the neighbouhood climb on his boat and dive. This is the highest diving spot they can find along the beach.

As John says, difficult to decipher without your notes, but that does not mean I do not like it. In fact I find it a clever and interesting abstract composition. I like the lighting and the reflections, also the saturated colours offered by the stripy boat.

I love all kinds of reflections and I must say these here are really captivating.Especially in combination with so lovely play of light&shades with the border line between shaded and illuminated part going diagonal through the frame.Next thing are these bright and vivid colors,which make the scene so eye-catching and provide it kind of summer feeling.

Les deux lignes jaune et bleue qui traverse l'image en sont toute l'essence. L'idée d'aller chercher les reflets est des plus intéressante. Une très belle diagonale .

This is a great scene, the slider of light has created a sliver of clarity through the water and makes a great use of the different layers. I am never anything but amazed at how clear this water is, it is no surprise that people spend so much time in and around it.

This is a slightly surprising and highly aesthetic picture. The boat is almost lost among the colours, having been transformed into straight lines of bright colours that are part of an abstract composition. This is among the best handled reflections I have seen for a while. Congratulations.

i can imagine that if the kids are using this boat to jump from, judging from your photograph, they are jumping for the golden treasures that appear to lie beneath the waters :)
