Just after sunset, a photo from Dodekanisos, South Aegean

Photographer's Note

Well, here we have an almost unknown Greek island, called Leros. Believe it's a hidden treasure. It's a tiny island (you can make a tour within two hours), but has a lot to offer. Tradicional Greek island architecture, beautiful villages, also a whole small town with italian architecture of the 30s (the island was under Italian occupacion for the first half of the 20th century). You can see there the largest natural harbour of the Mediterranean (not the one in the photo), where one of the most important battles of WW2 took place. The dozens of shipwrecks make this island the perfect playground for divers. the 8.500 habitants sure know how to have fun and your stay there will be unforgetable

Post Process: this photo was converted twice from RAW to TIFF with different WB settings. One with colour temperature around 3900 K,( to have this deep blue sea) and one around 9500k (for the orange sky). Then the two pictures were put together, keeping one part from the one and one part from the other.No other PS.

Beautifully done.Deep blue and orange.. wow.. excellent colors in your pic.The pattern on the water is very nice.It shows how the picture is nicely darkened with care not to hide details.The sky is also great. Many would not know of this small island unless pics of this stature and a note with good information are passed on to them.You have done a great job.Congrats and yes.. I need to appreciate you on your work on the post processing too.You knew what you were doing.

I must say, this pic is just amazing... Really precise techniques...
I appreciate the orange sky very much. And the blurred lin separates the blue and the orange is very nice.

Great landscape picture, Hercules! I like the wide angle here with the gradient you produced in PS. The skies are very dramatic and you can just see the city underneath in the dark colors of dusk. Very good!

Το βάθος πεδίου εξαιρετικό. Φοβερά τα χρώματα του δειλινού. Έξυπνη και χρήσιμη η παράθεση τόσο των γεωγραφικών στοιχείων του νησιού και της επεξεργασίας.

Como veo que en tu introducción escribes en español, yo también lo haré, porque me expreso mejor.
Esta foto es una maravilla, lo tiene todo, gran paisaje, punto de vista elevado y gran perspectiva, bellos colores, hermosa iluminación con una luz del sol perfecta....
Tienes razón, es un tesoro escondido, con la belleza típica de las islas del Egeo.

This is a great landscape. The colour tone is rich. U have captured the beauty of the sky after the sunset. The light of the artificial light and the natural light mingles together tp give it a tremendously effective shot.

I've been searching for a few photo's of Kalymnos and it's surrounding islands, such as Leros you present here. You've captured it very well! The result is magical Hercules! I like the PP you have done on this photo, the orange sky makes a very good contrast with the deep blue sea. You've found a nice high POV, I like all the lights around the bay, especially the lights from the city on the left.
Quality, sharpness, composition, noise, note, it's all very good!
