again Santorini, a photo from Kyklades, South Aegean

Photographer's Note

Almost two years ago I was in Santorini (Greece) and it was a very enjoyable experience.
This is a beautiful place, but please, don't think this is the best island in the Kyklades. You cannot miss another places like Folegandros or Syros. Or even better, ask directly to our friends, ask to Hercules or Vasilis who will tell you the best places to go and enjoy.

The light in this place is special, as the traditional architecture and its landscape and you will fall in love, sure, of this fantastic and magical place.

if I think of the cold and of the grey sky we still have here... I cannot but wish I were there :)
this photo looks like a kaleidoscope - the blue, white, yellow and brown crystals turn around in the composition like in a kaleidoscope...
the light is so clean and so crystal-clear it almost hurts my eyes... a beautiful reminder of how Spring should be :)

Hello Carlos,
Each Greek island has his beauty and it is very interesting to visit, but Santorini is the most impressive of all, the houses are on the edge of a scarp (Caldera) and the view is spectacular from there, as we can see in this beautiful photo.
The contrast of white and blue is wonderful, the light is excellent and the Mediterranean colors are lovely.

You were right to enjoy Greece before the civil war... A good pov on the city, highlights look a bit strong under the hard sun, the blue depth on the sea is superb

Nueva perspectiva de Santorini. Me gusta que se vea la parte de la montaña también y no solo el pueblo. El contraste de los tres colores: blanco, ocre y azul, es espectacular.

Every Greek island has a particular charm, no one looks like the other one. It is funny for example to look at the old doors. They are always different, probably because of the imagination of the joiner of the island. Even people have different ways of life. I liked for example in Naxos, the long improvised music evenings in the countryside villages's tavernas.
Beautiful image of Santorin with these three summer colors , the blue of the sea and the sky, the white of villages and the gold of the vegetation burned by the sun.

Qué pasada de foto y de lugar !!! Estamos pensando en una escapada para Santorini por mitad de Septiembre . No hay nada claro porque a mi el tema ultraturístico me echa para atrás . Asi que no descartamos otras islas .

La foto : la luminosidad del blanco Sorolla con el azul cobalto es brutal ...Casi dan ganas de comerse el pueblo y beber ese agua
