Photographer's Note
A short break to my Cretan "serie" to go back to one of my favorite places in Greece, Ioannina. In the old town, that is surrounded by huge and well preserved walls you can see a lot of interesting things, among them two mosques. The one, the Aslan Pasha Mosque, you can see in one of my Previous Posts. The other one is the Fetighye Mosque, the one you see here, "through" the tomb of Ali Pasha.

Very interesting and inspired idea. The view of the mosque and tomb in the foreground creates what in my opinion looks like an oriental mosaic :)

Hi Hercules. What an inspirational idea! The whole thing is so Oriental, beginning with the mosque and then accentuated by the intricate lattice work of the tomb.Exceptional. Mind you, it's a place I always wanted to see because of the Albanian connection, but I got as far as Florina years ago.My compliments on such an inspired shot. Klaudio.

Hello Hercules,
Creative composition at its best. Perspective distortion is nicely camouflaged by the "cage". The mosque looks well-preserved, which leads me to ask if it's in use (don't really know about the religious composition of Ioannina). B&W version may be preferable.
Best wishes,

I must have missed this one - I think it's excellent.
I really like how you filled the frame with the intricate ironwork surrounding the tomb, without it you would just have had a standard, if attractive shot of a mosque. The way you shot it through the ironwork has transformed it into something a lot more interesting.
Good stuff Hercules!
