That nothing can compare.'
(REM - Leaving New York)
This photo indicates a series to come, dedicated to my beloved city, Miskolc.
Of course its not her best part, with the housing opportunities (or the remainings of it) of those worked at the former Lenin Metallurgical Works (in the bg).

Hi Gyorgy, great comparison between the best and the worst your city offers, but it is also fair to show old pieces of history now abandoned, I appreciate your choice for the main photo, useful and courageous! Have a nice Sunday and thanks,Luciano

Hi Gyorgy
you know me, I'd love to walk around this part of the city, lots of untold stories and mysteries, why did people leave, why are these homes in this condition. Photos don't always have to be 'pretty'. Is that an industrial site way in the bg? love this. cheers

Hi Gyorgy
The WS shows a much neater and attractive part of town but the main one with the ruins is quite interesting.
cheers

Hello György,
This is possibly the most unflattering view of your beloved city you have ever shown. It is certainly an original composition which makes me smile, but it gives us a realistic view of the changed social and economic realities since the early 1990's. The WS could be dedicated to those who long for a beautiful street view.
Best regards,
Gert

Hi Gyorgy
Interesting narrative, I like this pic. I like the way the dramatic foreground from the former Soviet era with authentic "feel' and how well it ties-in to the background. Perfect and telling juxtaposition how past and present finding peace with each other! A very well thought about composition and capture.
Best regards

Hello Gyorgy,
Through empty eyes, this building is looking longingly towards the city, where buildings are perhaps, better cared for!
The ruin does generate this sort of emotion!
My warm regards,
Bev :-)
