Photographer's Note
Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?
Thou art more lovely and more temperate:
Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May,
And summer's lease hath all too short a date . . . .
Shakespeare, Sonnet 18, 1–4

Two japanese honeymooners, I suppose, overlooking Budapest from the castle. But the wonderful panorama is not so important for them :)
You´ll find a the coloured version with a slightly different crop in the workshop.

Hello Christian,
Wonderful photo! I simply love the cropping. The soft sepia tones and the absolutely great focus give a special mood to it! Very good DOF and moment captured.
TFS!

That is splendid! Such an unusual intimacy.. tender.. fragile.. sensitive glimpse.. Close.. indredibly close..
with all charm of the early love, unmature, crazy feeling.. longing to the other with such an impulsive necessity..
Is it the first portrait you have shown to us??
I would Say: BRAVO! :)
and.. don't stop.. :)

Wunderbar, Christian, wahrlich meisterhaft. Barbara.

Ciao Christian,
Complimenti

Hi Christian,
A lovely intimate portrait well suited to the sepia toning. I love it that they are on the edge of the frame and balanced out by that dark strip on the opposite side. Great use of depth of field too to convey this loving moment.

Hallo Christian,

Hello, Christian -
Among the many fascinating things about this photo is that the monochromatic conversion makes them appear to be nudes, though of course they are not (and I checked the WS to make sure!). The blurred BG focuses our attention on the couple, particularly her face and facial expression. The abstraction in the shoulder shapes is also a very nice touch.
Best,
Dan

Hallo Christian,

Hi Christian.
Fabulous selective focus portrait and a really good B&W / sepia conversion. My only slight criticism is that it works better (for me) with a crop to portrait format or square to miss out the heavy dark shape on the left - which I find a bit of a distraction.
Lovely work, though. Regards,
Paul.

i've been following the critiques, being added one by one, everyday to this marvellous photo of yours, and why not be it my turn to compliment?
it is a bright work of a photographic mind, so simple yet so strong. the extremely clever focus, the well caught innocence of the willing and curious face and the one tenth presence of the groom... is she really enjoying the cityscape or is she flirting with her husband? i guess, the second.
i was sure that this photo would go to my jewel box. and here it is :)

Hi Christian!
Just done browsing through your entire gallery, you can imagine it took me quite some time :) but it was worth it, I just had to see all the photos! I can see you are an early bird (I am not! Waking up in the morning is a torture! :)), well your award is to catch all the tranquility, emptiness, fog and colors of the morning. Your photos of the Alps and the landscapes between our countries are just magnificent! You definitely are a fog photographer! :)
And I loved all the photos of people all over the world, especially Cuba! It's a vibrant and almost a tragic country.
And great notes too!
I could give points to every single one of your photos, but unfortunately I don't have enough time :) So I'm starting with this one. It's not most typical for you, (which doesn't mean I don't like your typical photos! :)) but this one is just so warm, simple and romantic... What can I say, I'm a romantic girl :) Great composition too!
All we need is love... :)
Warm regards,
Natasa

Hello Christian,
I like the way you took this shot with the great lens. Great focus on the woman face with the rest blurred. Great feeling of intimacy ... now that you are giving a choice I prefer this one than the WS version. I would not have known that he is wearing a sleeved t-shirt and it blended well with the skin and background. A good one. Regards. Latiff.
PS: You have a great gallery. You do well with both landscapes and people. I hope to learn from your gallery.
